Like working with your hands, figuring out how things work, and learning practical new skills? This could be a great next step.
We’re looking for a reliable, switched-on person to join a growing property restoration team. You’ll help restore homes and businesses after events such as floods, fires and mould damage, while learning to use specialist equipment and build skills in a technical trade.
You don’t need restoration experience. Some hands-on experience in a trade, labouring, cleaning, maintenance, construction, warehousing, driving or a similar role would be useful. Most of all, you’ll need a good work ethic, a practical mindset and a willingness to get stuck in.
What you’ll be doing
* Travelling to jobs around Auckland
* Setting up drying, cleaning and air-filtration equipment
* Helping with water, fire, mould and specialist cleaning work
* Supporting experienced technicians and learning on the job
* Taking photos, recording job notes and keeping customers updated
* Following job instructions and health and safety procedures
The work is varied. Some jobs are physical, messy or urgent, and you may be working in damaged properties or supporting people during a stressful time. You’ll need to be comfortable carrying equipment, getting hands-on and treating customers with care and respect.
What we’re looking for
* A practical, technically minded person who enjoys hands-on work
*Some experience in a physical or service-based role is an advantage
*Reliable, positive and keen to learn
*Good communication and the ability to follow instructions
*A full New Zealand driver licence
*The right to work full-time in New Zealand
What’s on offer
*Full training and support from experienced technicians
*The chance to learn a specialist trade
*Varied work using modern equipment and systems
*A supportive team and opportunities to progress as you develop
If you’re ready to learn, work hard and build practical skills in a growing industry, we’d like to hear from you. Apply with your CV and a few lines about the hands-on experience you’d bring to the role.
